Live Music: Andy Wickett’s World Service

Former Duran Duran frontman Andy Wickett will be performing at the gallery with his band World Service, from 7.30.pm.

Andy Wickett composed some of Duran Duran’s early songs including “Girls on Film” and is still a fine songwriter and charismatic performer. He has also been painting and producing animation for many years, and as part of the evening he will be talking about his visual work with examples. He is accompanied by Julliane Bastock on vocals, who is a fine performer in her own right and has been described as “a singer-songwriter who sings like an angel that went through hell for her wings” and by Barry Lim, inventor of the intardio (integrated guitar studio), which he will be playing. The line up is completed by a guest drummer, the very gifted Dan Payne from Llanbedr.

This is a not for profit event, though there will be an opportunity to donate towards the cost of the event, and seats may be reserved for a donation of £5 per person. For reservations call at the gallery or phone 07971 138136.

This unique evening will conclude the Carnival and Open Day (listed separately).

Refreshments and soft drinks will be available, though no alcoholic drinks, unless you bring your own. Should be a memorable one-off musical event not to be missed.
